Many of you have written or expressed a wish to help Erica, Christian and
their families in any way, we thought of one way. As many of you know, Erica and Christian ran the Miami Marathon on January 28th with the National AIDS Marathon Training Program. They have raised a lot of money for the Whitman-Walker Clinic, but still need a little more to help them meet their goals and now with Erica's medical bills we want to give them a break as much as possible. So if you are able to donate even $5, please do so; Kelly has put the link to their marathon website at the bottom the of blog. Also, her doctor's told her the best thing she could have done was to run in the marathon as she is in great shape and this is going to help her as she undergoes her treatments.

Done, and Done! The donation is on its way! Belated congratulations to you and Christian for running the marathon, by the way! You guys are so fit! This will help you in more ways than one. Keep up the good work with your "laps" in the hospital. My thoughts and smiles are with you both! :)

Erica: Dick and Carol Eick just emailed me this which they got from Kim Olinger. Please know how proud I am to know you--your marathon run in Jan. is AMAZING and your courage combatting this awful disease is AWESOME. Know that Kendra, Kara and Ivan, her kids, and I and my husband Mike Poage are pulling for you and praying for you.
I haven't seen you as a grown up! How beautiful you are! Christian sounds like a very special man and we hope we will meet him some day.
Kendra lives here in Wichita, KS near us and works in Medical Billing for our local hospital. The kids are 16 and 11 now, about the age your family sibs were when I knew you all in Arlington. Please pass along my love to your parents and brother (Janna, too, though she probably has no memory of me). Stay strong and positive, laugh as much as you can, and know you are a wonderful human being loved by so many people.
